I was just expecting a wee book mostly revolving around sex and had passed it up numerous times while browsing for something new.

I like this story because usually it would have ended once they escape their ‘prison’. For example it could have been worded so that any “willful attempt” to conceive and conceal a hybrid pregnancy was punishable. Maurra is taking a break before going back to her police-type job surrrnder she sees Safan being attacked by a bunch of skinny short aliens.

The story Line was good and The writing style is fluid, however there were some inconsistancies and miss opportunities: Kristie rated it it was amazing May 06, The ending was suh-weeeet.

Like Safan, Maurra is a protector at heart. She quickly finds out that her captors plan to force them to have sex for a pay-per-view audience. Surprisingly, and despite their differences in size, they enjoy the experience and start to bond, which makes these scenes really incredibly hot.

Give her one power not 10, not whatever power she needs just at that moment. I also l You guys know I’m a mood reader, right? Captive Surrender is a novella, a tease into the world Ms. My belief in that relationship would have been greater if more time had been spent on this portion.

The bad guys knock her out and she awakens in captivity, along with the alien she comes to know as Safan. There was a decent attempt at world building. Anyway, not the point.

Maurra has to find other ways to fight when her psi abilities are blocked but she rises to the occasion. This novella tangos between erotica and romance. She tries to help a member of an alien species who is being attacked by another species Kronners. The biggest problem I had with the book was that the heroine was just too powerful.

Beyond the fact that they are strangers, the situation is more upsetting 1 because interspecies sex is a serious crime and 2 because Safan is an enormous male. Like Safan, Maurra is a protector at heart.

Safan is definitely more of the strong and silent gentleman type [except when he’s mating with Maurra]. And the book is a bit on the short side, more like a longer-novella. But patrons enjoy it, so why not right?
