Card On The Table is pretty sweet and well done, but I’m sorry to say, already a day later has it more or less slipped my mind. Oh, and when you have a great narrator, I suppose that makes for an extremely enjoyable listening experience. Really great short story by Josh Lanyon.
Her characters are always fleshed out – even in under pages she manages to develop people who you really come to know and care about.

The other curve ball is his former lover Jack Brady. More from the same Author Point Blank: I was surprised when I found out who the murderer was. Still love the Lanyon! I really enjoyed this one. However, as Tim digs further it becomes very evident that someone wants him off the case by pinning a sinister threat to his door—a Tarot card. But it’s never overdone, the fine line between a troubled persona and an inadvertent parody of the same is never crossed, and that’s a real proof of a writer’s talent to me.
The trail went cold, but investigative journalist Griff Hadley has always thought there was more to the story – much more.

Can they warm up to before the parting? As the danger escalates, there is only one person Tim can rely on reluctantly – his ex-lover Jack, who’s very willing to be there for him. It has an interesting if predictable plot, deals very lightly but expertly with disability and homophobia.

Tim and Jack though; my heart fell cardd them instantly. His MC’s are usually very complex characters with many layers and this story is no exception. I remain a huge fan. The Ghost Had an Early Check-out.
A previously unpublished Christmas book labyon Charles Dickens has turned up in the hands of an English chemistry professor by the name of Sedgwick Crisparkle. I really enjoy his work, and I think this is one of his best.
