I expected a dry defense of her job performance and tougn bytes on management and leadership. This woman is extraordinary. Interesting business book which describes the cut throat business world at the executive level. Such is the ignorance that leads you down a path of stupidity and stupid decisions in your own life. I was an outsider in every conceivable way, outside the Valley, outside the industry, not from an engineering background. But that’s really the only negative thing.
I feel less intimidated by my own management because the book humanizes upper management. It was an opportunity, as a risk-taker, she could not resist. Perhaps it is part of the reason I wrote this book. The supercomputer, dubbed “Eagle,” was designed for the US government’s only lab dedicated completely to tkugh efficiency and renewable energy.
